It's near my brothers so was thinking of giving it a shot but I've never been and have no idea what to expect fishing from shore.
Has anyone tried there on the Ottawa side before?
Google map shows it has access to the water via a walking path.

I use to work close to there for a number of years and there are some nice fish around there for sure. I have not been there for a long time.
I use to fish there during lunch and some breaks. To me it is as good a shore spot as any.
good luck
Dave

Yeah been there many time with my son, as I grew up around that area. Plenty of smallmouth, actually my son best friend caught a beauty with a jig and a grub, he was so scared in holding it he kept dropping it, he never caught one so big.
A little bit of warning, watch out for the poison Ivy it's everywhere.

There is a rough launch on Lemieux for a 12 footer or so.
Using a boat this time of the year with the fast current can be tricky (all around the islands)!
To me this is a great place to land a lunker!
Let us know how you make out?
