Been a great few days on a stretch of the Rideau River - in sharp contrast to the lack of action the previous week due to weather fronts.
Fish have been stacked up on mid-river wind-blown slop edges - and pouncing on flipping jigs with ferocity.
Here is a short video I filmed Monday showcasing some of the action.
Enjoy!
Good Fishing,
Justin

Geez! That's right across from our cottage. My wife's gonna freak when she sees this. We've had difficulty producing any real numbers for the last three weeks. Now we have a better idea where to look. Thanx, Justin.

Would you mind telling us which stretch of the river were you on? I went to Rideau river long island this Monday after work but didn't have good bite. Thanks.

Thanks for the kind comments, guys - was definitely a fun afternoon on the river with some constant action.
Seahawk - I prefer not to mention specific spots I fish. This is a smaller section of the Rideau, but saying that, all sections of the river are filled with identical "slop" mats such as this one. Best bet is to find ones that have good depth underneath, green lead-in cover, and try to concentrate on the wind-blown side. You'll get action when you find the right one.
Will try to film some more stuff later this week...
