Challies is basically a hangout for kids skipping school, good spot to swim. Garbage everywhere   . I caught 4 rainbows there last winter but i think they were the last 4 because I never seen another one the rest of the winter. There is parking and a makeshift launch but there are no motorized vehicles allowed out there. As for the location well it's east of williamsburg  . I caught a 5lb smallie there this summer and dozens of little guys, with the larry being so close a few bass make it in there every year. Do you know if the ministry put more fish in there this year?

Challies used to be awesome.......in 1981. It was regularly stocked with brookies back then.......so was Findlay Creek......got some real beauts out of there back in the day. They are VERY pale shadows of thier former selves. :( :(
