Heading out solo tomorrow and launching at eco lands park. Never fished there by boat so if I go towards Manotick is there any good spots for pike and musky? Not looking for honey holes just looking to maximize my time on the water!! Thanks

Bumped into two guys who weer trolling from the dam back down towards Manotick and back; They'd caught a number of Pike and Musky in the early evenings over the past two weeks.

Yup, lots of slimers in that stretch. Look out for waterskiiers too, they're even slimier.

good post, I am wondering the same thing
I fished it for the first time Monday solo, after a buddy told me about it, I figured I'd check it out
caught a 4lb smallie on a spook, other then that, not much action...lost 1 on a swimbait
oh and I fell into the water taking the boat out
a total of 3 hours fishing

I got there, started trolling for musky, saw an area that looked promising for bass, and that's all she wrote
pulled 2 smallies out of there, and then stuck to bass...but that's all I got
2 smallies, about 2.5-3 each...it's insane how quick time flies when you're having fun
let me know how you do tomorrow, good luck!
