specks

Where would it be suggested to fish for specks? bottom, top, points, shallow , deep ? Im fishing some stocked lakes and would like to know from those with experience where would my best bbet to target these, help to eliminate slack water.Any help would be appreciated

Go shallow...if you can find an area with vegetation, even better.

I'd also check out beaver huts and downed trees. Specks hang out around wood cover

Every Speck I've seen caught in our local stocked lakes have come from water 3' of water or less....

Shoreline points, downed trees atc. would be good starting points.

Never look past a good rock ledge that continues into the water..They like these areas as well...A good mix of shallow areas with vegetation etc within 20ft of a drop off is prime spots also.
