Missed this event last year gonna try to make it this year RJ look forward to it

I am trying to rally some people from work and friends to come out for this event.
I am new to fishing in the area so just so I can give folks clear directions - is it Rideau Ferry?

Google map " Conservation area Rideau Ferry" and that is where you get onto the ice. Then follow the ice road heading left.

I went last year but I wasn't driving and I didn't really pay attention to the roads we took. RJ gave me the above directions.

We will have an HT Double Hub setup for registration.

I'll have the new Vexilar FLX-28 on hand as well as a FL20 for people to give a try. Also the new K-Drill will be on hand to check out.

Good Point Grant! Mossy's Smoke Shop is planning (weather dependant) to be on hand running the BBQ again. His sausages are worth the drive alone.

Hey boys where about from the boat launch you guys fishing, just on the big flat? And dl the crappies move in on that or is it mostly bluegill, and perch?

so is the conservation area on yacht club road ( Rideau valley conservation area???? ) Just want to make sure of where i'm going? Haven't been there in a long time.

We will be setup with a double hub shack over in front of Stonehouse Island, so yes over on that flat. Crappies usually show up in the evening but we have had some caught during past events.

Yup that's it. Drive out the RVCA boat ramp and look left. You'll see the village.

What do I need?
I have only been to one derby and that was in Alexandria a very very long time ago.

do we have to drive out ?

or can we walk from the RVCA.?

hell i've never been on the lake so any info is good.
