Rudeness at Kars

So if you've been to Kars, you know that big cement dock out there? It's one of my favorite places. Anyway, I head out there this morning...I didn't expect it to be deserted, being a holiday and all, so I knew some people would be out there. But on arrival, I was not happy with what I saw...two groups of people were there, and each one had driven their car right on top of the dock, parking one vehicle at one end, and the other on the opposite side, effectively eliminating 2/3 of available dock fishing space. Then they lined up between the two vehicles, and were fishing there, effectively blocking off the dock to everyone else. I was really pee pee to see this. There is a sign that tells boaters to park their vehicles down the street at the local park....I would assume, by extension, this would apply to shore anglers as well. A little walk never hurt anyone.

Please don't be that guy. Show some courtesy to others who want to use the dock.

Forgive my rant.

I saw that this morning, too. I launched from the creek and saw them as I entered the river. Saw a truck pulled right up there Saturday morning, as well.

It is kind of rude.

Maybe I should have anchored my boat about 10 feet out in front of them? Ha ha.

I know I shouldn't but I sometimes I park over to the right and ensure I don't block fishing or boating.

This weekend was bad. I went with the kids but it was crowded and loud so we did not stay long.

Watching people catch and play with out of season bass and keeping it out of water way too long... To be clear these guys were of Caucasian decent.

I like to fish there very early or very late.... I can't stand the circus.

I hear you Zippy...I honestly couldn't care less if people park on the road in front of the dock or not...as you said, as long as they don't block fishing or boating, there isn't a problem.

I didn't get close enough to see who these people were. I just turned back around disgusted, and proceeded to fish Jock River Landing and the the Chapman Mills boardwalk area (not even a bite).

I usually have Mondays off, and on non-holidays, when I fish on Monday's it's fairly quiet out there. Just how I like it.

That seems to be the regular at Kars now. It's too bad it's a great spot but as Zippy put it "I can't stand the circus". I've been going to the other side of the river at Kars with no luck.
