I'm looking to put 5 new muskie baits in my tackle box. :D
I usually use large spinnerbaits or inline bucktail spinners, and have had luck with believers...
What are your top 5 muskie lures? Lets say a price range under 100 bucks for all 5.

Magnum Bulldawg, Pacemaker, 10" Reefhawg, Hawg Wobbler, Muskie Stalker. In no particular order, and definitely not under $100 though. :)

Better make sure you are using at least 80pd braided line to throw some of those baits too. Nothing worse than losing a $25-30 lure because you stinged on the line. Been there, done that, won't do it again. :)

1.Fudelly Hawgspin
2. 10" Jake
3. 10" jointed believer
4. 10' weighted Sledge
5. 12" Mr. T

Go for black, yellow, orange or firetiger.

If you want excitement, surface lures can't be beat. Can be frustrating at times, you see a lot more fish than you catch, and they blow up all over your bait. Suggest the topraider, or a walk the dog lure like a jackpot - thet are a blast to use when the fish are in the mood. Even big jitterbugs work (and they are relatively cheap) - look for that big wake that appears out of nowhere and approaches your lure....

I've spent too much on tackle the last little while. So to save you some cash, here's my recomendations...

1.poodle
2.terrier
3.pug
4.chuaua
5. cat, any cat.

Most of these baits can be found either behind a small picket fence or at the end of a prideless mans leash.

If you go with the terrier try a scottie, you fish them like count down rapalas.

Markus... :D :D
I'm budgeting 100 bucks because I'm sure some of the cheaper (10$ lures must work too  ) And for 40 each$... I'd rather get rid of some neighbourhood strays :P
Last fall, my best muskie came on a 8" williams whitefish spoon :!:

I will recommend the only two lures that have produced Muskies for me this season:

- Mepps Magnum Musky Killer (black tail, silver blade)
- Blue Fox - Super Vibrax bucktail (black tail, silver blade)

Might of guessed that I love bucktails ...

Didn't someone mention otters and/or ducks. Try throwing one of these bad boys.
