Length limits for bass - Quebec

Hello,

I am trying to locate the length limits or slot limits for bass in Quebec zone 10. When I go to the site (http://mrnf-faune.gouv.qc.ca/peche/) it only seems to give catch limits (6 for bass) and length limits for other species such as walleye and trout.

Is there a length limit or slot limit?

If not, what sort of lengths do you generally go by to not take breeder fish out of a water body?

IB

I don't think there are any length limits on the QC bass, but I'm not 100% on that.

As for what size you keep, it's mostly personal preference. Talking smallmouth, everything over 3.5 lbs gets released in my boat, and then I 'cull down' from there haha depending on my needs. I try to keep the 2-2.5 pounders as they are about perfect.

That makes sense, I hear the 2lbers taste better too...

I think so.

They are more plentiful as well. I've been known to let the coveted 'keeper' walleye (the lake I fish has a 20" min) go and eat the 2lb bass instead
