Has anyone fished Phineys Point on the Ottawa, trying to avoid derbys this weekend coming.

Hi HH,

I have not fished Phineys. I thought it was not allowed. I contacted the people who run the historical site and they indicated to me fishing was not permitted from the shore. They cited something about shoreline preservation. Was I mis-informed? I thought it could be good place to take my kids.

I am going to check around with Natural resources, I thought maybe something like that would be in the regs someplace .
