				Hello everyone!!
I, my wife and a buddy of mine looking for a lake which has a canoe rental available in surrounding areas of Ottawa. We know about the dows lake but want to try something else since we will also like to do some fishing + canoeing in clean water(you know what i mean).
Note: We need rental right on the lake since we don't have any mean of carrying it on the car. Please suggest lake in Ontario and near Ottawa. (we have Ontario fishing license)

Thank you !!!

Check out Constance lake lodge in Dunrobin. They rent boats, not sure about canoes.
Nice small lake, just right for a canoe.
Expect 20 - 24 inch pike and lots of really big blue gills/sunfish right now. it does get weedy as the seasons move along

It's a bit farther but try North Frontenac Outfitters:
http://northfrontenacoutfitters.com/
They deliver canoes to the North Frontenac Parkland lakes (Red Horse, Long Schooner, etc.). They literally drive it up for you and meet you or leave it in an agreed place. You just leave it where you found it. I used them last year on a camping trip to Schooner Lakes. Those North Frontenac lakes are well worth the drive too. You want clean water? Check. Great fishing (including lake trout)? Check!

				Jhinbhoot,
I have these for sale - I used to use them for exactly that - I'd rent a canoe in town and then take it wherever I wanted. They work on any vehicle and when not in use the fold away into something the size of a lunch box. This way you can rent a canoe and not be limited to where you go. I am open to offers.

Bayview Lodge on White Lake rents canoes. Nice area to paddle around in, good swimming, fishing, etc.

On the Big Rideau you can rent canoes at Murphy's Point, on highway 7 past Perth are Silver Lake and Sarbot lake with provincial parks I'm pretty sure you can rent canoes at both as well.
You're looking at about an hour's drive out of Ottawa, but they are all nice lakes.

We used to go to Futzroy park before we got our boat. Great location. You can picnic, bbq, fish swim the whole nine yards. And I never has issues with renting a canoe or kayaks there. Good luck and have fun!
