Fish-Hawk.Net

Has anyone ever seen anything like this? This was found in the stomach of a large Pike caught in Mississippi Lake near Carleton Place Ontario. The Ministry came and took it from the guy who caught it but will not comment.

That is one strange looking creature. I have no idea at all what it could be. If those boards are an inch wide that thing would be a foot long. If you ever find out be sure to let us know.

I've seen giant prawns from the Pacific that were almost a foot long (really tasty too!) and the body of that thing sort of looks like a prawn, but wow, is that ever creepy. Perhaps it was something that someone threw overboard?

I was sent this pic this aft. The MNR did comment saying it's a tube jig that has been in that fishes belly for some time.

I'd agree to their findings as I once found a Sweet Beaver Plastic that someone had lost and it over time became nearly 5 times the size and had changed into a funky color.

Still is freaky but harmless.

I saw it earlier today...... it's horrifying to say the least.

I'd be super keen to find out what it is....... AND WHAT THE HELL ITS DOING IN MISSISSIPPI LAKE !!?!?!?!

I'd bet the farm that it's organic and NOT a soft plastic lure........

I'd even go so far as to remind everyone of the freedom to information act and do some follow-up with the MNR.

I'm sure someone on this board has some connections or friends there.
