Fished Shirley’s Bay yesterday, the weather was spectacular and the action was pretty good (and it is so close to home :D !). Was looking for some smallie action, but couldn’t keep the pike off. However, the pike action was decent with one coming in at just over 8lbs. Lost some tackle on bite offs (as I forgot to bring any steel leaders :x :( )

Also caught a walleye on a spinner bait and lost a huge bass (at least I think it was a bass...spit the hook…hate when that happens…)

All in all it was a great day with the best weather and Ottawa River conditions I’ve experienced in a long time,

going to go back soon,

Cman

Hi Cman,

which side of the launch did you wade and how far? I find the place hard to wade especially near the launch, too many big rocks..
