Up here zone 10. Trouts openminm2 weeks,,got a few lakes to try up near maniwaki. Plus got that week off anyway,,,so sure hope they will be open.

But looking at weater long therm,,,,,, not sure at all.

Its gone to be nice onnthemlast week before opening. Like a week to late,,,might take one more week to open up..

The big changes usually occur the last two weeks in April. The extended forecasts I looked at seem like things are on track - warmer weather + rain. That should kill ice fast. Assuming one can trust the forecast

Hope ao,,but here it open on the 22 and it supose to be nice just ghe few days before,,,

Ho well time will tell,,,but would nice if i could be open for the 22 if not it still good for a few weeek after ice out anyway,,,,

It's not looking very good right now Joco... Since 2011, trout opener in Quebec is hit and miss as we've seen a few years where every lake was frozen solid. Lucky for me, I have one trout lake that is always open on trout opener... It has a nice creek that flows into it so there's always open water...

I think will be good to go! Come on sunshine!

Really? That's good news then. I guess you've been up that way... I'll either have to go check myself before the 22nd or even better, I'll send someone else to check for me.

Man I sure hope so but with the weather we have been having its a flip of a coin right now.. what lakes u go to around maniwaki? My parents are in Boucherie and have great lake trout there and so does Bleu Sea in Messine

Jul,,actualy my father as is house in bouchette also,,closer to st therse on roddick lake,,lakers there also ,,,and size limits is not like the 31 miles lakes,,,wish i close to us also.

But for the other trouts will look at maps,,got some ideas

Wow. Lol my father's house/cottage is on Roddick lake also.. wow what a small world... lol has he been there for long?

10 days to go, I say nope!

Sure we will see few nice days. But those are like a week or two to late,,lol

But its coming,,,probably the weekend after

The boys are still '' ICE " fishing on 31 mile lake !!!!

Probably,,,its insane how cold it as been

Ho well,,,,i had ghe first week of opening of work,,,cant move it! I have seen fishing on ice at the opening few years back,,,,,,but might not be safe,,,but theres is way to be safer!!!

Yeah I've heard that as well that their was still ice out there. . Hope the ice will go pretty soon, can't wait to go fishing up their and expecially 31 miles lake.

Sad to report, but guys still driving on with ATV's as of yesterday on 31 Mile lake. Looks like the augers will need to be packed again this year.

Also sad to report, here is the ice report for Algonquin Park. Looks like I'm going steelheading!
