Could someone please confirm if this ramp (inside the creek one not the one at the main river channel.) can still be used for launching a 17 ft deep V boat? I also want to know if the road construction near the Kars boat ramp has been done and the road has been paved. Thanks.

Yes the boat ramp can be used by a 17 1/2 ft deep v boat no problem . There is still work being done on the main street but the paving is done and some crushed stone has been added to the launch to make it a bit better to use .If your rig can fit under the bridge have a go .

I have launched my 17.5 deep V there a few times before. not in the last couple of years though. if nothing has changed your fine. I have a full windshield and can get under the bridge no problem.
if you don't like what you see for some reason there is a launch 5 minutes away on the other side. Taylor something. Turn right at Hurst marina and it's up about 2 miles on your right

Thanks, Fordman and Mick, I am just wondering if the water level is still high enough to get the boat out to the main channel cause even in spring there is some shallow like 2 feet points when going out. Have your guys launched recently especially Fordman since Mick said he had not? Plan to go this weekend. Thanks.

Yes I used the launch on Wednesday and it was fine . There are a few hazards ( rocks ) but they are well marked with white plastic jugs so you should be fine . There are a lot of weeds around in the water though . Jim .
