Combining both of my passions = My first video!!!

Hi gang, I have finally combined both my passions of fishing and music. I haven't posted very many fishing reports this year because I don't really take pics anymore. I got a Go Pro in the spring and I've been recording all of my fishing adventures since then. I wrote and recorded some original fishing songs to accompany my videos so stay tuned for more in the near future... I probably have enough footage to make 4-5 videos.
Check it out, I hope you enjoy!

You gotta tell us Yves, what instruments were you playing? (if not all of them)
I was getting sidetracked from the video by the audio actually. Lots and lots of change-ups and rearrangements in the song, much of it really catchy. It's very well done! Whether it's all you, or you and help, it's solid. Harmonies too... cause those it sounds like it's all you singing in different keys.
Seeing the float tube footage, the bushwhacking and specks kinda gets me feeling a little sentimental.
This video must have taken a huge amount of time to put together.

You say that as a joke Marty but my friends and family have been asking me to write some french songs for years so I wrote a french fishing song for them. I also wrote another one that begins in french, then it is translated in english and at the end I am going back and forth in french and english.

I play every instrument that you hear except for the drums. The drums are from Drums on Demand. It's a live drummer that was recorded doing a variety of song sets. The sets are cut up into loops so I arrange them as I want according my songs. So my first step after I've come up with a little something on the guitar is to arrange my drum track. Then I'll record the bass. After that the guitars and keys. Finally it's the vocals and every voice that you hear in different octaves is all me. So essentially I am a one man band/producer. It's lots of work but it's been very rewarding to see my progress as I have recorded all of my original songs since I began doing this 13 years ago.
Surprisingly the video wasn't that long or as difficult to put together as I was anticipating. I never did any video editing before and I thought that it would be as difficult as a music project (song) but it was fairly easy for a newbie. I was kind of disappointed actually because I was looking forward to the challenge of figuring out video software but the programs nowadays are so basic to understand that anyone can figure things out fairly quickly. The song is 8 minutes long and it probably took around 4 hours to put the video together. My other songs are usually 4-5 minutes long at the most so it will take much less time to complete those videos. This was my first crack at this so I'm sure that as time goes by it will eventually take me much less time to get the final product.

Octaves, not keys! Yes.
One man band, for sure. That's is talent.
