Mike and I were busy on the actual opener this year so we decided to take a day off during the week to see if we could get the season started on the right foot. Since we fish the Ottawa about 95% of the time we don't really have to much experience fishing the "interior". We decided we'd bring a buddy along fishing who knew the area. Glad we did as there were a couple shoals we would have hit for sure and he showed us more than a few "A" spots. We had heard that this area held some really nice spotted Muskies and were really looking forward to catching on. Well it was a perfect day (for me) great weather, great company, great stretch of water and we even figured it out, eventually.
