My goal this summer was to really learn how to catch more trout and a wide variety. So I was happy today to cross Brook Trout off my list with this great specimen which measured about 16 inches.
Still haven't cracked the code on jigging for Lake Trout on my cottage lake, but if I can keep catching Brookies and Rainbows elsewhere then maybe the Lakers don't matter
Beauty first brookie! Nice job man that's a good one. Finding the lakes and exploring is half the fun but that right there is the other half of the fun. Hope ya get into some more like that.
What lake is that if you don't mind me asking.........
Sadly, I am sworn to secrecy on that one (seriously). But I have been hitting back lakes all week using Fish-Online and the Crown Land atlas to scout good lakes. Absolutely incredible how many we have to explore and how many I have found that are holding nice populations of trout.
