I'm planning to visit Quebec in July to camp and fish for brook trout. I was wondering if there are any rivers within a day's drive of Montreal where you can backpack in and camp in the backcountry without paying a fee. I saw that there are the ZEC's, but I would rather just get a normal Quebec fishing license and fish outside of the national parks. Any advice would be appreciated.
