Black rapids fishing?

Me and my family are planning to have a picnic at black rapids this Sunday and I'm hopin' to get a cast or two in. This spring has been mighty sluggish for fishing in general so I don't know if the bass will be hungry on this year's opener. Does anyone know what else can be caught there?
Thanks,

Always a decent enough shore fishing spot and I'm sure the bass are biting normally by now. Not my favourite shore spot just because you are pretty much confined to the dock or the rock outcropping if the water is low and there tend to be people in those spots. But as good a chance as anywhere with decent access of catching an OK bass from shore.

By now your picnic has passed but I used to fish that spot all the time before I had a car and boat. If you fish from the top of the falls every now and then you can hook into something decent. I've caught a few walleye, a 10 pound pike, and two of my three musky there. If you plan on landing anything of decent size you will need a long telescopic net and a buddy willing to lay down and hang over the side with the net. I've also had some luck at the bottom of the locks with bass and pike. Never had success on the higher side. I've often left there skunked, but every now and then something exciting bites and it was enough to keep me going back.
Good luck if you head back there!
