New 2019 video!! See how it looks like when lake trout bite your bait, follow and how they fight underwater. It shows how a lake trout reacts to different speeds. We were trolling for lake trout using a variety of baits including bondy baits, divers and Flatfish T60. This was all shot during June of 2019 at Elk Island Lodge on Gods Lake, Manitoba, Canada. It is really incredible video!
I am fishing every summer for lake trout. It gives an idea how lake trout cosiders to attack a bait or not.
Sometimes they strike the lure immediately or after long 20 -30 min troll or never...
They relatively smart and my strategy is that after 20-30 with no bites, the presentation should be changed.

Which bondy bait were your using? I have the bondy bait mini wobbler I think that one is only for vertical jigging
