Tokyo rig

Hello everyone, I've found that I could not log on with old name " walker " so now I am " bank fisher " .
Now for the topic what is the difference between a TOKYO RIG and a GAPEN'S BAIT-WALKER RIG ? They both work the same way .

I haven't had much experience with rigs like the GAPEN'S BAIT-WALKER RIG. I took a look at the rig and it looks like the tokyo rig would have a lot more range of motion, as the setup allow the weight and bait to fall in a straight line through cover. the tokyo rig looks like it would get hung up or at least pull up cabbage every cast, but it goes through cover awesome. I also take Seth Feider's tip and use a little less weight with the Tokyo rig than I would with a texas rig, etc. If i need 1/2 ounce to get through with the texas rig, in most cases, i can get through cover with the tokyo rig and a 3/8 weight.
The GASPEN's rig looks more suited for pulling a bait across the bottom, not necessarily going through cover vertically. Just an opinion, as I have not used the GASPEN's style nearly as much as the tokyo.
