Bullhead fishing

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Bullhead fishing

Post by Chilipowder101 »

Hey yall! Since the weather continues to get warmer and warmer, I been wondering of some good areas to fish for bullhead in the spring?

I have caught plenty of catfish and bullhead along the rocky points of Britannia park and andrew haydon park but those are a bit far from my house, as I live east end. I wonder if anyone has had luck around the mouth of Green's Creek and Bilberry Creek? I tend to avoid Petrie Island nowadays because how many dead fish I've seen along the beach shore.

Any answers are much appreciated.

You are certainly on the mark for "Greens Cr" I've never tried Billberry, but have done well with warm ups in years past at Greens. Also, just passed Petrie, there is a culvert right off the 174 we used to do well on to avoid Petrie. I have not done it in years, but really any creek mouth or just up, I'm sure you will find them! We also years ago used to get them right at the bottom of the hill, by the ball diamonds off Jeanne Darc, at the end of Champlain. Mind you, this was years ago. All we ever used was a dew worm and an egg sinker, kind of like a Carolina Rig for whiskers.

Hope this helps!!!

Thanks F.F!! Really appreciate the answer. Only ever caught perch and walleye at the mouth of green's in the summer. Are there anything else biting there?
