Magnet Fishing Calabogie crown land

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Magnet Fishing Calabogie crown land

Post by MichelleTCM »

I am trying to plan out some exciting places around Calabogie area on crown lands, to bring my magnet to both clean up some lakes and hopefully find something cool. My first ideas were Shiner lake and Wabun lake being places that draw big crowds with lots of trash and inexperienced people. I suspect there will be lots of stuff to pull out. I plan on recycling or properly disposing of all the material and items found. I also would like to find some places people have been visiting for 50+ years to find cooler old stuff. Does anyone have any ideas or any suggestions of lakes that could use a clean up?

You'll be wanting lakes with easy access...

Tooeys Lake and Lower Twin lake, Hwy 41.

Both drive to and easy access and parking so could be lots of junk in there to find.
If you find a Mepps #2 in lower twin, it's mine but you can keep it :)

Hi,

Calabogie lake by itself it is good.
There is a pike (grassy Bay), walleye, crappie, largemouth, smallmouth, and rockbass.
I wouldn't go to Centenniel lake. I have a couple of friends who fished there for days with zero outcome.

Good luck.
