What is this lure?

Edit: I found what lure it is. It’s a space bobber predator lure. Interesting concept but I don’t know how effective it will be...

Found this cool lure in my friend’s dad’s tackle box. What is it?

I haven't seen that exact lure before...but if I had to guess..it's designed for vertical jigging (like ice fishing), considering the line attachment point. I imagine the action would be like an "Airplane Jig"...which is popular for Lake Trout through the ice up north.

It floats! It’s as light as a feather, no rattles or weight and it floats. When reeled in it makes big S turns. I’m stumped!

Most lures have already proved that they work prior to leaving the store, when someone takes it through the checkout.
