Mississippi Lake - PB smallie

Went out on a hot day earlier in September, was throwing a 5" green/black wacky rigged senko and was catching some small largemouths, nice fight in them but nothing to write home about.
In spite of the heat, I kept casting onto a rocky point with 8-10" water, and bam, the senko got hit hard! After its first aerial I knew it was gonna be a PB for myself, my rod was so bent and my wife was scrambling for the net...this smallie had to have jumped at least 2' out of the water maybe 5-6 times before I got it to the net. I know the mouth should be closed when measuring, but I wanted to get it back in the water quickly with those summer water temps.
What a day that was!
