Fishing Toronto Island

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Fishing Toronto Island

Post by Jeebus »

A couple of my friends wanted to go check out the toronto islands on sunday, anyone have any ideas of where to hit to look for some pike or bass? Any help or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Just saw a show on the Toronto Island from Fishing Canada. It was on Carp(I know that it's not the spieces u asked about). They pulled in 15 of them with the biggest one arround 32lbs. They also mentioned that the Bass and Pike fishing from shore was underutilized.
Hope this helps.

I can't help you out Jeebus but I wanted tell you though that whenever I see your handle (or nickname, whatever), I laugh. From the thousands that I have seen on the web, I have got to say that yours is my favorite.

Sorry about wasting good web-space but I had to say it.

Long live Homer!!!

Thanks I like the name too. We went down and found this great dridge that you can climb down so you are fishing right from the channel as opposed to from shore. We caught some bass and pike but the weeds are just too thick right now. There were almost no lures I could get through. If i had more time there were a ton of other places to fish. A couple of spots that looked great for bass if you were willing to get a little wet.
