September Sturgeon Lake on the Trent

Post by Willeski »

Hello fellow anglers.

My new fishing partner and I are planning a week long fishing trip to the Kawarthas, staying at cabin on Sturgeon Lake on Pickeral Point, and we were hoping for some pointers on best spot for smallies as she likes to cast for bass and I am a walleye jigger.
We are navigating a vintage 18ft. StarCraft closed bow with 2 vintage '74 Johnny's.
I have also purchased some ski gear and would like to try casting.

I do have navionics , and I have way pointed some areas that look promising. We were hoping to get some knowledgeable insight on the early fall areas to try, and what bait approach. Thank you in advance.

Tight lines and hope to see you out on the water. 🎣🎣🎣

Sturgeon Lake is a fun lake to fish in Sept . Good numbers of Muskie , bass and Walleye . Several rocky shoals for smallies and plenty of weeds for Muskies . I sent you a email . Talk to you latter
