nofish,
I'm from the U.S. If I had the time

(kids!!!) I wouldn't mind participating. It's just too hard for me to nail down a day for anything other than being a mom, and to commit to something post dated is even more difficult.
My goal is to attend some kind of Hawk Tawk get together in the next year or two. If I accomplish that, it'll be great.

This whole fishing derby started as an East vs West Ottawa region trash talk. Then moved on to include all parts of Canada. And to some degree the US.
Oh boy, here we go.

Have been coming up there for 35 years. It's the best. Nice lakes down here but no fish. Love to surf Fish-Hawk. You guy's are great with the info. Hope to meet some of you one day.

Just a thought, maybe the derby should take place at a quarterly event with the bragging rights (not that we ever would... much) would go to the region that best averaged out over the event.
I know, I know... South Western Ontario would always have an advantage... We might be able to come up with a formula to keep all you good folks interested... a handicap if you will.
Any takers... Hehehe

Ohioan here. My problem is I only get up there once a year in August. Can I use past successes as my tournament entry if I can't make it in person. Tournament results: 1 day total: 7 skies on the Rideau. Largest 43". Sheer luck, must of been there at the right time, have never come close to duplicating again. Of course, we now concentrate more on the "Big O". Surf your guys' site almost daily. Almost makes me feel like I'm still there...ALMOST.
