hi guys; the hunting fishing show in gatineau is at the promenades de l'outaouis shopping center at the end of feb/beginning of march(i will get the exact dates for 2005) i have gone for the last five years and have enjoyed it.there are various vendors and about 40 outfitters mainly from the western and northern parts of quebec.the majority of them are bilingual or have somebody with them who speaks english.it lasts four days thurs, fri, sat, sun and is free to get in and park.the only thing i find is being one of the last shows of the season alot of dates are already reserved.allan.c

It's a good show, but it is mainly an outfitter show and not a fishing show although there is some tackle stores represented. I'ts worth a look because it's FREE  .
I'll be there.

Jale6666:

I telephoned les promenades de l'outaouais (819-568-1158) and was informed that the Outfitter show is scheduled for 23-27 Feb 05.

As for the show, I went last year and very much enjoyed it - mind you I fish almost exclusively in Quebec. Parking is free and plentiful. There's usually more than half of the outfitters working the Gouin Reservoir in attendence. I'd recommend attending on a week day to avoid the crowds.
