Just a quick note so everyone understands.....

Every now and then we are all faced with poor service or we have an experience witha store/business that leaves a bad taste in our mouths. That same experience can be very different for different individuals.

Fish-Hawk.Net is not a forum to publically linch a store/business. So, to keep it simple, we kindly ask that no individuals post and negative or deflametory comments about any business.

You're welcome to vent your experience and course of action, we just ask you leave the store name out of it.

I hope that clears up any confusion with this request.

Joco: Could it be that your problem is an isolated incident. I feel that the dealer and manufacturer should be given an opportunity to rectify the situation before they get dumped on. If the problem isn't resolved, than by all means, have at 'em. If it is resolved to your satisfaction, than that should be recognised as well.

Why would you mention if we cared about our customers or products?
Ridiculous man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And they way you typed it its kind of hard to not know what store your talking about. Should have been phrased differently Joco.

These products work when patiently constructed, and carefully taken apart. However we have had them returned because of snapped poles. Because of people being impatient putting up or taking down. Ihave yet to hear of cracked vinyl. They are however lower end of shanty and I wouldnt recommend it for an avid everyday angler. If you fish all the time go with the Frabill Venture 2-3 man. A relative of mine owns it and its unbeatable. Once constructed takes 5-8 minutes to put up. Its got a floor with lift up panels and its got larger windows, 2 doors, and comes compacted into a plastic sleeve sled. Stock is low. Theres none set up on floor. We will gladly help you resolve the problem if in our power and policy. We want you to be happy. I feel we do ahve some policies that should be different but im in no control of them. Hope we can help you out.

Joco if she purchased it within our 10 day return policy it can be returned. If not you would have to go through eastman, however the staff in bells corners have no control over this policy. Policy comes from montreal. In the main branch.

Spence Scout, I understand your need to publically respond here, but lets take this discussion to the store. I'm sure you two will happily work things out there.

Spence i think most people aren't aware that store policies aren't set by individual stores but by their head office. Personally this is why i prefer smaller local stores which will be more personal with you should you run into dificulties.

We all like a good deal but the old saying goes "you get what you pay for".. sometimes paying the extra is really going towards peace of mind should problems occur down the line.

As toobinator says too.. it may just be a bad batch that got through QA before being dispatched. I have a Fish-Trap pro from clam corp and i think it's one of the best ice huts out although i have heard of people recieving their hut with missing poles etc... I have also heard of how this company went out of it's way to make sure their customers got replacement parts at the companies cost.

Most reputable companies will try to make good an error on their part.. others that don't will eventually get a bad reputation and will eventually see a decline in sales.

Joco i hope you get the problem sorted out and spence i think a few of us are starting to realise that there are some good guys working there but rules are rules and your hands are tied.

Once again let's keep this as civilised as possible. We all have bad experiences and good experiences and we all know how some stores operate to bring us a good deal.

I agree totally.

Rules are rules and even if out of my control it doesnt reflect on me as an angler. I love to chat with whoever comes in and listen totheir outings and fish tales while ill share mine. We all try our best within our knowledge to satisfy. But please refrain from posting something concerning a certain store or certain staff. U may not have listed the staff however u directed it towards us all. This will be my last post on this.

Fishing wa good today. shard some laughs. caught some fish.

Funny how you can say something good about the store but you can't say something bad? I know there's not too many good things but there is alot of bad?

Good to hear from you LOL......

Theres always somthing good and somthign bad about every business. Theres no such thing as a perfect business. However your a bass angler. You like the expensive hard to find stuff and not all anglers think the same. You know me and I fish and buy things as you do. Things Only availalbe at stores, were your a pro staff member for example. But I will not post anything negative about a business becaue its not "right" shuold be very understandable.

Hey man hear u making some sweet senko baits, and jig trailers. And of course tubes. Goodluck with those man. I've always wanted to make handpoured palstics.
