I tell you it was a succes in the french site of Québec Pêche the fishing Derby!

The original idea of Fish Hawks as created,quite a strom in Québec Pêche, we beat the record of attendance on site (57 new record) yesterday

The team where pick in random by they 15 Captains Saturday in Laval for the Québec Pêche yearly event Patrick Campeau was the speaker that night and the draw of the team when well and the result where posted on the site almost simuliately...quite a experience!
4 members of this site are captain over there.

Trout Machine.. There has been talk between myself and several other members including fish-hawk to perhaps work something out for 2006 so that teams from multiple boards could be in a derby together.

The idea is based around one central results system but say 5 or 6 teams from several boards. Of course some team members visit both boards so they would need to decide which team they'd like to be on.

It could be benificial in getting both ontario and quebec anglers to fish together and of course board to board bragging rights and friendly competition would be of interest i'm sure

Again 2005 is a bit late to do this and you'd have to see how things work out this year. It's a thoguht that has been floating around for a few weeks and i thought i'd mention it so you can keep it in the back of your mind for 2006.

We'd perhaps also like to include other boards but we'd need to contact those seperatly to see if there'd be an interest.

Of course we'd need simple rules and everyone would have to play by those rules to make it fair.

Anyway let's have fun with this over 2005 and see what comes for 2006.

It looks like you all had a great night deciding the teams and i think this is a really great way to get people together.

I'm glad no one was around me with a camera when I saw the derby list for the first time and I relized John had pulled my top contributer-Muskimagnet away from me!

I know that I dream of getting down and fishing some old spots so maybe sometime we can hook up and check out some spots.
