Harrassment on Hawk Talk

Ya know what we try to provide here? A spot where people can exchange info about fishing with each other. We try to provide an environment that is healthy for just about anyone, especially youths and kids. We try to show how there can be many points of view on the same issue.
It works pretty well around here.
Ya know what ruins it? I really take it personally when people feel they can hide behind a username, a computer monitor, and distance, to direct abuse at someone else. It's cowardly. Not funny. Cowardly, and probably what one would expect from someone with a juvenile mentality.
And it is not welcome on Hawk Talk. And neither is anyone who feels the need to do it.
Ya know, it is pretty hard and thankless work providing this kind of servicefor people to enjoy. The payoff comes from simply knowing so many people enjoy the Community. People are given a lot of lattitude to say pretty much whatever they want to around here. It's too bad that some think that this lattitude includes free rein to harrass the people who work hard to make this board what it is. Well it doesn't.
No body earns the right to harrass anyone around here. And I am not going to entertain abusive posts, or abusive participants, not for a second. Especially when the abuse is directed at people who don't earn a penny for trying to make this board as good as it can be.
We ask a lot of the participants on Hawk Talk. Participating on Hawk Talk requires some measure of responsibility. The greatest thing we ask is that people be responsible for being respectful of one another.
If exercising respect for others on Hawk Talk is something you feel you are not capable of, send me a PM and I will ease your burden.
