Well it was a sad day today as we pulled off the shacks. Despite the snow we had recently the removal was fast and easy.

Put a 12hr shift into the shack Saturday and was rewarded with some of the most consistent Ling fishing we've had this year ( sorry RJ, next year :cry: ). Six big ling were landed in mere minutes after I was eliminated from poker and was able to do a little more Jigging.

I want to give a shout out and a big thanks to all the hawk-talkers who came out to the Hut this year, WIG, RJ, FLOAT, HOF, SALMON, SASKIE, PIGEON,SPLITSHOT, ......and so on and so on. Anyone I forgot thanks for the company, minnows, bells, beers, rums and most of all LAUGHS..!!! :lol:

I know this is a sad moment for some, but when i saw the title of this post I found myself screaming YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am grateful though for this year of ice fishing! It sure made the winter fly by and great times were had, thats for sure!

Gotta say, the few times I made it out, it was a tonne of fun! Thanks MM!!!!

Next year I'll have my shack back there too after a two year absence, so we'll be able to entertain even more Hawk Talkers MM :!:

Thanks for all YOUR help. I don't know who's going to miss the ice shack more though - you, me or Chester...In passing this evening I mentioned somethig about "going ice fishing" tomorrow and the dog who had been too tired to move a second ago was instantly awake and waiting at the door to head down to the Bay and see his friends Legend, Sammy, Jake and Tal.
There are few problems in life which can not be solved with a well-placed, high-explosive projectile.

Hi MM, thanks for all your help during the year... can't wait to get out in the boat now! It was great to meet all the Hawk Talkers this winter, Saskie, WIG, Float and all the rest.

I have to say my first year havin an Ice shack was a success. The ling fest from saturday night was a great way to end it off.. too bad I didn't do so well in the poker game..

I'll try and get some pics posted from saturday night soon... In the process of moving into a new house so things are a little busy.

THanks to all that helped out on moving day and look forward to seeing you all this summer!
