Bullhead

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Bullhead run

Post by Cancatchbass »

Hi Demius and welcome to F-H.

Although the commercial guys are getting bullhead in their nets outside the spawning areas, the fish have not shown up on at any of the usual spots along the Parkway yet.

Probably another week or two and they'll be on.

Flaggs Creek along the 1000 Islands Parkway has always been one of the premier spots between Brockville and Kingston. It is a few kilometers west of Ivy Lea and is pretty hard to miss as it is a big marshy area right alongside of the parkway. There are some areas to fish it north of the Parkway as well, if you walk over to the secondary road running parallel to the Parkway. Good Luck! :D

Not yet!

No fish in yet at Flagg's (Knight's) Creek.

With this warm spell, though, it shouldn't be long.

Bullhead

Ok I learnt from the best! I can catch over a hundred in one night! No problem, I got this amazing hotspot.... I could fill barrels.. But I dont because I dont like to eat them.. I just catch and release or give them to my dad. My dad is a brown bullhead feine. He luvs the little fellas. Hes got a go to technique taht they never turn down. We have both beat the Ontario record for weight. We never entered thinking it was alot higher. Were gonna have to take time to do it and put it i nthe records this time.
