Fun at Blakeney

Post by Todd B. »

Well one of the guys from the OFS wanted to get out today so I took him to Blakeney. The nice weather seemed to have agreed with the fish as we had a great day on the water, mind you nothing like those summer days were you can't keep the fish off your fly.

We managed to land quite the variety today, from jumbo perch, monsterous fallfish, a beauty eye (18") and lots of SM, the best being a well fed 16" fish. I also had one bite off, which we guessed was probably a pike...quick strike, hook set and "ping" no fly. Inspecting the line didn't break but was cut.

As I have said before, the fishing this fall is looking good :-)
