Yeah I am a member and so is Todd. It is definately worth joining. There is flytying once a month and a meeting (sometimes a bit boring except when they have a guest lecturer). They also arrange casting instructors (we all can use help there). One of the purposes is to arrange special fishing outings. They only had one last year but it was great.

Mike,

Nice meeting you as well. The tyer was Colin McKeown, an OFS member and host of the New FlyFisher television show. I would say that the $25 membership is well worth the money. In addition to the fly tying and guest speakers, it's a good way to network with other fly fishing folks whether for local opportunities or trips outside of the region.

Maybe we'll see you for tying in Dec or in the new year.

Cheers,
Todd

Mike,

Just a heads up that there is no regular meeting in Dec, due to the OFS Xmas party. There is fly tying Dec 20th. though.

Cheers,

I'll probably join in January. I'd like to improve my tying and find out more about possible destinations.

Hey, Mike, I'm planning a trip to southern BC this coming summer. Got the Fishing BC - Lower Mainland book of the region already. Of course, the 4-wt & the 6-wt are coming with me! Can't decide whether to take the tube along.
