I'm just wondering what the going price is for a new one and what would be a good rod to go with it? Thanks in advance, -Jason

Jay, running price can vary from store to store budd.
If you pay more than say 170, your being taken for a ride. 150-175 is bout the goin price.
A great reel indeed, for the money you really can't go wrong!
As for a rod......... What is your price range? If you want a solid rod for a decent $ try looking at the Convergence by Shimano, solid rod, and great price.
If you want to spend a bit more dough, and plan to fish alot with the outfit, I suggest a Raven 13'6" IM6 run ya round 250 or so, but man a killer rod all around!
There are a few other models inbetwenn those 2, but can you list a price range, and where you tend to fish most, that way I can help ya alot better
