My GF & I headed off to the Haliburton Forest for some camping and fishing. The blackflies were out in force, but they don't normally bite me too much. Flyfishing from my float tube was very good and I only used my 4-wt with full sink and sink-tip lines. I fished a tandem rig (2 streamers about 18" apart) and this proved quite effective. While I was skunked on the speckles, I managed many rainbows and a laker.

The laker was caught near the surface @ 10:30 Monday morning. It was released unharmed. Surface caught lakers are not unusual in the Haliburton. The rainbow in the photo stayed for dinner
and breakfast. It was delicious cooked over the campfire!
