I watch a guy fishing from one of those in the Ottawa River a couple of years ago. It handled the rapids well enough I guess. He made the change from rowing to wading fairly easily.

It looks like a good river boat, but I think it might get blown around a lake rather easily on a windy day due to its size.

Joco, this might be an excellent choice if you also had those fins you posted about that can be used for standing up.
Time's fun when you're having flies.

I moved to Yokohama at the end of August. It's OK here but I haven't been able to go fishing yet. I miss the Ottawa Valley/Outaouais for fishing!!!

Some one on a flyfishing board has one of the inflatables you posted about. He really liked it and took it up to Algonquin a couple of seasons ago without any problems. I agree with you - C'est un peu cher....

Japanese fishing lures are really neat, my aunt brought me some back when I was a kid but they are long gone.

The hooks weren't curved on the crankbaits, they were strait out and barbless, it was pretty neat....

They looked whacky though.........I'm guessing they were for ocean fishing.....

Joco, that boat is cool........i don't trust anything inflatable though...not around fishhooks...........Maybe they are stronger than I think they are?????
