Considering that we were fishing from shore, we did pretty good, going two for five. Mine being a respectable 17-18" female (with eggs) and Beeman's a nice (personal best) 20" male in full spawning colours. (pics to follow)
After a couple of hours of fishing and the temps falling we decided to call it a day. Wouldn't you know it that as soon as we're packed up along comes another good sized male brookie, feeding in 2' of water, right where we had been fishing. LOL
If the MNR ever starts to designate lakes as "Trophy Status", this lake would be right up there on my list of lakes that should receive such status.
