The Best And Easiest Bass/Trout Fly Pattern?
I mainly fish for bass around where I live because in the trout creeks we go to we catch trout about 4 or 5 inches long. I enjoy fishing bass at the river because of the fight they provide and the patterns that they like. Can someone please tell me or give me a link to the easiest fly pattern effective for both bass and trout?

it's hard to beat a bugger pattern for versatility. i would also recommend a bugger for both species.
when you get sick of tying buggers in various colours and sizes, you can try different materials such as coneheads or adding more flash or whatever.
other patterns to try that would work would be a clouser (or any other baitfish pattern for that matter), or a surface pattern like a chernobyl ant, hopper or stealth bomber. also other leech patterns would also do well.
essentially i would just concentrate on imitating food sources for particular water bodies. most species of fish will eat available food sources (baitfish, leeches, crayfish, scuds etc). actually now that i think about it, this isn't necessarily the case. those rainbows at kenauk weren't keying in on those tadpoles for whatever reason even though they were sitting ducks.
just my 2 cents.
