Hey guys, went out sunday for a couple hours around noon, water was a lil higher and faster then i would have liked. I ended up nymphing with a crayfish pattern of mine the whole time, caught a couple lil guys. Fishing was slow, the bass that we did catch were sticking close to shore. Defenetly would like to get back out there in the evening once the sun gets down or else an overcast day sometime and try and hit the top water bite, ive got a feeling from experience the fish would be a lil more cooperative underthose conditions.

On a side note we did run into a very large snapping turtle sunning itself along the shore, it was a lil unerving while wet wading to tell u the truth, we kept our eye on it constatly while in the area. lol

Try an olive beadhead woollybuggers. We were nailing them upstream on the Rideau with them on Sunday. Best one was a nice 15" SM.
