YFF's Bass fly selection LOOONNNGGG

Post by Mike Lennox »

Hey all,

I was experimenting with my digital camera...still don't have the result I want but i'm improving.

I took pictures of my bass fly arsenal...enjoy :D :!:

EMU CRAWFISH

Smallmouth Bombers. Ones a bomber stimulator..a RL innovation

Image

Chartreuse/white clouser...very generic

Image

I also like to use blue/white....the bottom one is a half and half"half deciever half clouser" it was probably my best bass fly but it also caught pike

Image

Heres an RL variation...an extended body clouser...it worked very well for LM bass

Image

People are always asking me what I use for pike...here's my #1 fly

Image

Wooly bugger: I use many variations and colourings. I find adding flash really helps.

heres a sparkle white one that works well for LM but not so much SM

Image

Here's a generic dumbbell wooly: I like leaving some of the fuzzy part on the hackle...nice movement in the water

Image

You always hear people using blue/black senkos ext. why not try this!

Image

Green crystal chenille/black hackle.marabou

Image

Black mohair leech. Some other colours are brown, OLIVE, purple crystal and pink for stained water and chartresue for crappie

Image

Now for the fuin part-Topwater.
Leopard frog gurglers

Bass love these!! This is an RL pattern They will jump up into the air to eat these!

All time favorite:chartruse bass popper
