Group outing on the Ottawa (Tuesday)

Post by Todd B. »

Myself and a few other OFS members are going to be fishing the Ottawa from Bates Island this evening (6:30ish). If anyone from FH is interested in joining us feel free to show up and wash your flies with us! LOL

Cheers,

Hey, I mentioned on another thread that I have to be back home by 8, but I should be by after work for an hour or two. I look forward to meeting you.

Well the group outting thing was pretty much a bust. All of the guys from the OFS that had said they were going backed out due to the heat or other plans. Regardless I still got out on the water along with Tyttor. BTW, it was nice to meet you Chris...and your technique really isn't all that bad.

With respect to the fishing, the weather gods were good to us and all of the T-Storms kept to the north and east, though the wind was something else. The water levels are pretty low now on the Ottawa, but targeting a number of the holds in and around the rapids produced a number of nice fish. Sizes ranged from 6-12".

Thanks, Todd. Actually it was really nice evening to be on the river after the heat of today.
