Going to give float fishing a try this spring. I have been doing some reading on the subject sounds like a center pin reel is ideal. However, I'm thinking i'll start with a small spinning reel first attached to a fenwick 11-6 noodle line weight max 8 lb. going to buy various sizes of floats, a few flies (egg leech) and tie up some roe bags. What about leader size, weight of line for leader, time of day. I'm going to port hope if timing permits. How long will the run last? am I already too late? Any info from experienced people will be appreciated. It seems like a great way to fish and am getting excited to get started. Regards Allan
