October Trout (Salmon River)

Hi Everyone,
I fished the Salmon River this morning for about 2 1/2 hours. Conditions were excellent with the weather being partly cloudy and relatively warm. The water level has come up with recent rains. I was unable to cross the river easily in my usual spots. The additional water has created some good holding water in places that haven't held fish since the early season. There weren't any hatches to speak of. I only saw one rise.
In the end I landed three rainbows and two browns (10-12" range). I had a few others on but lost them. I caught all but one of the trout on a #12 Breadcrust Nymph. The other one I landed on a #8 Olive Woolly bugger.
Here's one of the larger bows I landed:

Here's a closeup of the bow with a Breadcrust Nymph in its mouth:

All in all it was a great trip to end my trout season. This was the first time I've fished in NY in October. If anyone is thinking of heading down, you've got till the 15th (Monday) before the season closes.
Cheers,
Salar
