Guys,
I'll be off work tomorrow and plan to wet a line for a few early morning hours. I've only fished a couple of places since moving here - Strathcona Park, Billings Bridge, Champlain Bridge and am looking for someplace new to try. I'll be meeting up with JD at Long Island Park on Saturday morning, so I'll save that spot for then.
Any thoughts?
Thx,
Jerry
Suggestions for Friday morning
Well, I went to the spot that Todd had recommended. I hit the water at 6 and spent the next hour fine tuning my casting skills - not a single hookup or even a faint tap. Caught 2 walleye and 2 bass in the next 15 minutes (my first walleye on a fly
) Then spent another hour practicing casting without so much as a slight tap. Then picked up 4 more bass in a 10 minute span, then nothing for about 45 min, then a couple more bass and it was time to call it quits.
All in all, it was a fun morning.
Thx Todd

Jerry,
Glad you managed to have a good morning. Oh and I forgot to tell you that you do pick up eyes on the fly down there as well.
When you're familair with the location you can usually pick up fish frequently, though with the higher than normal water/flow, they tend to shift from their normal spots, and you have to search a little harder for them.
