Rio Gold Fly Line

Hi Everyone,
I finally decided to replace my floating line after 6 years of use. I picked up a new Rio Gold WF floating line from Float Paddle & Fly. I tested the line out this weekend at Lake Clear. My first impressions were that the line is super slick. It shot out through the guides well and was easy to strip. I was impressed at the way it cast. It was easy to cast at longer distances with nice tight loops. I'll give a more in depth report later in the season as I try out the line in more conditions. I'm looking forward to trying it sometime soon in New York. The real test for me will be to see how it roll casts with dry flies. My previous line wouldn't roll cast very well at all. Since I use my 5wt for most everything I'm hoping that this will be an excellent all around / all purpose fly line.
Cheers,
Salar.
