BC Update

Post by Salar »

Hi Everyone,

For those of you who don't know, I've been unemployed for a while and have been looking for work. My four week 'vacation' out here in BC has turned out to be more permanent. I have been hired to work full time at the Michael & Young Fly Shop at their Vancouver store. I start this Friday :D

I've really enjoyed being a part of Fish-Hawk and meeting lots of great people. I'll miss fishing with you guys. I'll be sure to continue posting reports of my adventures out here.

If anyone's ever in the Vancouver area and wants to go fishing, let me know.

Cheers,

Paul (Salar)

Hey Paul,

Congratulations.

The guys at M&Y got me started in fly fishing 10 years ago when we first lived in BC. They were great back then and I am sure they still are.

You will enjoy Vancouver. I'll look you up next time I'm out there.

All the best,
Dennis

Way to go Paul!!!!!

Next time I go visit my mom in the YVR suburbs I'll be sure to go while away some hours at M&Y. I'm going to guess that you'll also have a flourishing guiding business within the next 2 years.....

Congratulations Paul! All the best with the new job. We'll definitely have to get for some fishing if I'm in town. Keep in touch.

Cheers,
Todd

ps: It's going to be a long drive for you to deliver your flies at the next swap. LOL

Thanks guys :)

I'm really looking forward to working out here, especially in the fly fishing industry. I'm also looking forward to be able to fly fish all year round :D

Rich, if there are any bugle trout out here I'll be sure to catch them.

Paul,

So are you still going to be in need of some snatchers this fall? ;-)

Negative on that one Todd. Thanks for the offer though. I probably won't be doing any lake fishing till runoff next spring. I'll be salmon fishing this fall and steelhead fishing this winter.
